Broward on Broadway Casting Policy
|
All roles are open, unless previously announced. If, after open auditions, the director believes that a particular role or roles cannot be satisfactorily cast, additional actors may be contacted for further auditions. Being invited to audition, either directly or indirectly, does not guarantee you a role. Callbacks may be held if necessary. Only those to be called back will be contacted. NOTE: If you are not invited to a callback, it does NOT mean that you are not being offered a role; similarly, being called back does not mean you are being offered a role. In the event an actor cannot attend regular auditions, they may audition at a pre-arranged time at the director’s discretion. Please note that by auditioning, you are obligating yourself to a considerable rehearsal and performance process. Please be certain that you are willing and able to make this commitment. If you wish to be considered for ONLY a certain role or roles, please indicate this clearly on your audition form. In most cases, a complete cast list will be posted within 48 hours after the final audition on this website,. Only those being offered a featured role will be contacted. Broward on Broadway endeavors to cast new faces and fresh talent whenever possible, and encourages anyone who is interested to audition. As casting decisions, however, are quite subjective, we recognize that not everyone will be pleased with the final choices. Open vs.
closed auditions will be held at the director’s discretion. Each
person will be given a chance to sing and read as necessary. You may
also be asked to learn a simple dance routine as part of the audition.
