Committees
ARTICLE VI –
STANDING CHAIRS AND COMMITTEES
A. Business Manager
1. Oversees the process of ticket sales (group, season, and individual).
2. Oversees the writing, revising, and presentation of the Annual Business
Plan for the organization.
3. Oversees the research of and application for grants and follows up
on securing grants and public funding for the organization.
4. Reviews and makes recommendations related to grant proposals and
fundraising ideas.
5. Ensures that shows are advertised responsibly, effectively, and that
the advertising complies with the allotment for advertising in each
show’s budget.
6. Oversees fundraising by researching and contacting potential and
actual donors, and maintaining a database for patrons and donors. Ensures
that donors and patrons are appropriately recognized in the playbill,
provides all donors a tax deduction form at the end of the year (in
conjunction with treasurer) and periodic follow up for additional donations.
7. Develops and presents creative ideas for fundraising to the Board.
8. Acts as a liaison for financial issues to the Board and the Treasurer.
9. Analyzes costs and recommends prices for ticket sales
10. Reviews business issues and makes recommendations for change
11. Oversees Public Relations committee
a. Oversees the publicity and marketing of all shows, including advertising,
marketing, and special events.
12. Ensures that a process for playbill development and printing is
in place
13. Ensures that all contracts over $500.00 for goods or services are
in writing and are authorized by self and Treasurer.
B. Production Manager
1. Works with Treasurer to ensure that all appropriate steps are taken
to secure the show rights and all legal requirements are being met.
2. Ensures that all aspects of the show production are done including
but not limited to budget adherence, rights, special concerns, concessions,
house staff, raffles or specials
3. Oversees Front of House committee
a. Oversees all front house concerns including concessions, house managers,
and ushering
4. Reviews issues and makes recommendations for change.
