About Broward on Broadway |
Broward on Broadway was established in 1997 as the TBI Players, performing fund raising shows for Temple Beth Israel. This group was the brainstorm of Dr. Aaron Wolfson, past temple president and frequent cast member. Our first production, in 1997, was "Fiddler on the Roof", followed by "Oklahoma" in 1998, "The Music Man" in 1999, and "Hello Dolly" in 2000. Under the direction of Ron Welikoff and the musical direction of Steve Levine, our shows played to an ever increasing number of theatergoers. After 4 wonderful and successful years, we spread our theatrical wings and created Broward on Broadway as a true community theater group to serve the needs of western Broward County. Broward on Broadway is composed of an eclectic mix of people who share the common love of theater and the goal of providing quality theatrical productions for a wide variety of theatergoers. community theater group, we at Broward on Broadway look forward to a long and happy partnership with you, the theatergoer. BOB has been honored to have been in association with the David Posnack Jewish Community Center, to perform shows in their theater. We have just completed our eighth season, and we are pleased to announce that, starting with our ninth season, our shows will now be performed at Plantation High School. We hope to see you there.
